Peruvian Perfection is a family owned business. Katina and Brian Chavez have owned and operated their beautiful Alpaca clothing store for over nine years. Located in Historic Old Town in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Brian's wife Katina is from Peru, where she studied design in Lima and other parts of Peru. Katina designs 90% of all our sweaters as well as some of our other garments. Katina works close with the knitters as well as the quality control people to assure the customer will always receive the very best in design and perfection of our luxurious alpaca fiber garments
Since we started our business we have been working close with two villages high up in the Andes mountains of Peru, we have developed a strong and personal relationship with the knitters of these two villages, on more than one occasion we have traveled high up in the Andes and had the honor and privilege of becoming the godparents of some of the children we have grown to know. This is the beauty of knowing such wonderful people when you can travel to Peru and enjoy a moment like this and not have to conduct business and at the same time know this is where my wife Katina grew up.
We have and always will continue to help the people in this remote area. We donate clothing and other needed items to this community on each visit to Peru.
 Our sweaters are not produced in a factory, they are hand knit in the homes of the master knitters. They are their own boss and they work at their own pace in their own setting.
When we place an order with the people who knit our sweaters, we give them 100% of the cost to produce the sweaters up front, so at no time are they investing their own money. This is the way we have conducted business from the beginning. Now we are going to take this one step further and we will now donate a percentage of all our online sales to a fund that will go directly to helping the children and families of the knitters who produce our garments.
